Easter weekend has just passed, and I hope you all had a fabulous and chocolatey time with your loved ones (if you celebrate it)! The beginning of April signifies the dawning of spring, a time when everything in nature awakens, and a sense of freshness transcends through the air. For many, spring means a new beginning; a time to start something fresh and new.

Today I’m going to show you the 5 hottest makeup and hair trends for this season. Don’t be afraid to try something new in your everyday beauty routine as well! Be open to discovering new trends and inspirations, you never know what will catch your eye!

1. Dreaming of Rainbows

This spring is all about quenching your thirst for vibrant colours! Every hue imaginable is showing up on the runways, on models’ eyes, lips, nails and even hair. If you’re scared of going overboard with this look, try finding a focal point to show off the hue, while keeping the rest of your look simple and clean.

2. Secret Agent

Are you on a mission this season? Feeling inspired by the new Bond Girl Bérénice Marlohe from Skyfall? Then be bold with this look and experiment with thick liners, generous coats of your favourite mascara or fake lashes!

5. For the last trend, I want to draw attention to the most popular hair styles seen on 2013′s spring/summer runway.

These include messy tresses, beach waves (the mermaid look), the wet and slicked back look, as well as imperfect and messy braids. So forget about your clean and classy up-dos, this spring is all about being an LHM (Lazy Hot Mess)! We’re not aiming for perfection here, it’s ok to look imperfect, or like you just woke up. ..
