Hey y’all lovely ladies (and gents)! :D For those of you living in the colder parts of the world like I do (Oh, Canada), I hope you are all having a fashionably warm March! For those of you who are living in a warm climate as you’re reading this… Well, I envy you, and let’s trade places :)

Today I’m going to show you how to put together 5 different looks with one plain sweater that probably looks dull otherwise on its own… Mixing and matching with accessories and shoes can give you a different feel with the same item! Ok, here we go!

Look #1

I call this “casual and chic”…Pairing a “grandma sweater” like the one I’m wearing with some bold patterned pants that will make it more “street presentable”, and the brown heels will add more style and attitude. Not to mention that those purple earmuffs are just sooo cute… Oh right, and WARM! :D

Now, you might be wondering if there’s a way to wear a casual sweater like this to make it appropriate for less casual occasions… There certainly is! Pairing it with a blazer, jeans and black heels will make this look office appropriate, and it’s also great for a casual business coffee date! (see photo below) To make it more formal, try changing the jeans to black dress pants!

Look #2

The third look we’re going for is slightly younger, preppier and great for school! It’s cute and simple, but the black boots make it more fun and flirty! …Now all I need to do is find my backpack!

Look #3

We have the younger look, now on to the older, more sophisticated way to wear this sweater. Pair it up with a trendy belt to cinch in the waist, and you can probably even go with a tighter one if you’d like. I just felt that this sweater was loose fitting no matter what, so it may look unnatural if you cinch it in too tight. Try adding stockings, heels, and your favourite hat to complete the look and voila! Now you can look both sexy and warm in a sophisticated manner! :)

Look #4

And finally, since I am feeling quite creative with the last look, I have decided to match it up in a special way…

Look #5

Flowy, fun, yet still chic! The contrast in the materials of the skirt and sweater create a nice balance. Feel free to change the colour of the black skirt to white or another lighter colour. Anything long and flowy will work, and creating a nice contrast with the sweater top!

I hope you enjoyed this article, and I look forward to sharing more fashion randomness with you!
