We shared 13 Drake-ing Bad Water colours earlier, and in mentioning the Drake’s New Friends Tumblr, decided to share our favourite entries from that Tumblr.

If you’re not familiar with the reference, then I would encourage you to listen to Aubrey Graham’s 2013 single, No New Friends, while you have a look at some of the people he met this year. I found this compilation to be particularly interesting, because it clearly represents the duality of Drake, as he professes on one song his longing for love lost, while also attempting to bolster his street cred on other. Not to say that other rappers haven’t done the same in the past, but Drake is just so far on each end of the spectrum, that it’s almost satirical.

So as we look forward to finding out what kind of self-contradictory statements Drake will make in 2014, let’s also take a moment to look back at 40 of the new friends drake made in 2013!
