If you have been enrolled at LDU for a while, you are already familiar with our recurring interest in all things Walking Dead. From memes, to weekly recaps, and even a parody video or two, there’s something about the Grimes Gang that has always caught our attention.

With that said, today we are adding yet another bit of WD fandom to our catalogue, and this time around it’s dad jokes, because who doesn’t like dad jokes?

Last year Redditors decided to take a few screencaps from one of the most gut-wrenching scenes from Season 4 of The Walking Dead, and overlay it with the corniest jokes they could think of. If you’re familiar with the Dad Joke Dog meme then you’ve seen the like before, but the sight of Rick accosting Carl in a moment of crisis (spoiler alert: Lori finally dies), makes these that much funnier in a twisted way that only a Walking Dead fan could appreciate.

This string of memes is a little outdated, but they resurged recently when people inexplicably started replacing “Carl” with “Coral,” and somehow that made the whole punch line funny again.
