This class we are going to be discussing multiple things from the textbook. Re-read some of the sections you discussed later to make sure you understand all of it. In order to get back to the site once the teacher goes away, simply hit the close button at the top right next to comments and share. 1. The Chinese Are Dying Their Pets To Resemble Other Animals

These little bundles of joy are actually chow chow dogs that have been dyed black-and-white to look like pandas.

Dyeing pets has been a trend in pet pampering for quite some time. At last summer’s Pets Show Taipei, there was a fierce dog-dyeing competition. Check out photos through the link.

But dyeing your pets to look like other wild animals is a more recent development.

2. Beaver Attacks and Kills Human In Belarus

A man was attacked and killed by a beaver in Belarus. Sky News reported the man was on a fishing trip with two friends at Lake Shestakov when they spotted the animal on the side of the road.

The beaver attacked the man as he approached to take a photo, which contradicting stories are saying the man wanted to pose next to the animal for a photograph.

The next part of the story is not in dispute – the beaver sank his sharp teeth into the man’s thigh, severing a main artery and despite his friends’ attempts to stop the bleeding, the man bled to death.

“It was early morning and already light when they saw a beaver by the road, which was unusual because beavers are nocturnal. One of them went up to be photographed with it, and the animal attacked him and bit him twice, cutting an artery in his thigh, before running away.”

This YouTube video below shows an unassuming Russian filming a beaver that goes from from cute to “fuck you” in 0.325 seconds.

original

When one Australia man realized the Google Earth car—as in, the one that takes the footage you see on Google street view—was about to cruise through town, he did what anyone else would do: He and his girlfriend decided to pose for the camera. By getting busy on the side of the road.

Hey, why not?

“I sped up, overtook the car then posed with a Corona in hand,” says the anonymous man featured in the almost unbelievable photo above. “I pinned the location in Maps to remember where it was to later check but never found it.’

The image recently turned up on Reddit and has since been censored by the good old folks at Google. (see the Google Street blurred image HERE)

5. Vogue Editor Reveals Models Are Eating Tissues To Stay Thin In Tell-All Book

What happens when you get ousted as editor of one of the world’s most prestigious fashion magazines? Well, you write about it, of course, revealing — among other distasteful details — that models are eating tissues to curb hunger pangs.

Longtime Vogue Australia Editor, Kirstie Clements, was fired in May after 25 years of service at the magazine. Now, she has released a tell-all book called “The Vogue Factor,” an insider’s view that exposes, unashamedly, the cutthroat and chaotic facade behind the glossy covers of a leading magazine.

In her new book, Clements claims models still regularly starve themselves to stay super skinny, and some resort to eating tissues to help them feel full…
