UWO USC Presidential Candidates 2012: The Race Has Begun

The election trail has started, the candidates are no longer clandestinely whispering, “I might possibly, kind of, not sure yet for policy reasons, be running  for Western University Students’ Council Presidency. “

Now we know the four titans running the good race.  Let me tell you, from someone who has now worked with Steven Lecce, worked for Emily Rowe, directed the BPC Elections Night when Mike Tithecott got elected, and admired the Forgione video, this will be one of the most exciting campaign trails Western has ever experienced. Facebook’s ubiquity has now created a student force knowledgeability on how to utilize and harness people power. Through the lowered cost of DSLRs and the complete accessibility of  professional software, we can create media, branding and logos for free, which for some Companies or Universities *Cough* would cost $200,000.

Leadership itself is also getting more sophisticated. This is a time for students who are making waves in their own fields: Richmond and Tower with theatre, 3 Audrey  with serial narrative and Mike Tompkins with popular music.

Therefore, this is a call to all students: Come witness this election, be a part of it- participate. If you are a student at Western, then what the Candidates  do directly effects you. If you aren’t, it’s going to be one hell of race, and fun to watch.

Without further adieu, let me introduce the candidates and their platforms via websites:
