LDU’s Monday Morning Mistress: Heather Shanholtz [01.02.12]

Heather Shanholtz is much more than your average blonde bombshell. She’s got the extensive modelling portfolio, but more impressively, owns a successful web and graphic design firm, is a talent recruiter, networker, avid computer and video game fan, and has a personality every man will love.

When we said extensive modelling portfolio, Heather’s done every aspect of modelling from pageants, events and advertisements to online print, magazines and promotional work. You’ve likely seen some of her work with Maxim, American Curves, MMA Worldwide and most recently The Ring Magazine.

Heather, along with a few other select models, are the face of Aphrodisiac Ice Cream, which we featured HERE, a Miami based Ice Cream Truck with Maxim and Playboy models dishing out the tasty treats. The truck is equipped with 2 stripper poles, and a flat screen TV built into the side.

As mentioned above, Heather also owns a web and graphic design firm focusing mainly on web design, photo retouching, graphic design, and video editing. Don’t let her looks and body fool you.

Not only does she have looks and brains, but she’s not afraid to get down and dirty with the boys… meaning, skydiving, shooting guns, paintballing and anything else that gets the adrenaline rushing.

‘The Ring Magazine’ also has Shanholtz write a month feature, in which she interviews ring-card girls of past and present. Interview with Heather

Who are you?

Hey guys =)  My name is Heather Shanholtz.  I was born in Baltimore, MD and currently live in Miami the best place on earth! I’m German, Irish & American Indian.

Growing up in Jarrettsville, Maryland, did you always know you belonged in the big city?  

I grew up in a very small town with small-minded people. I always dreamed of bigger things. One day I realized I wanted to make it happen. The very first flight I ever took in my life was to move to Florida. I didn’t realize or even could even imagine the things that were about to come my way. I was scared shitless at first.

What five words best describe you?  

Caring, outgoing, hilarious, crazy, driven.

How and when did you get into modeling?  

I originally wanted to start when I was 17.  I didnt get into until after I moved to Florida and broke free into the person I am today.  I signed with my first agency and set up my first shoot.  It went from there.  It hasn’t been easy I’ve busted my ass.  Risk taking takes you far!

You have quite the extensive modeling portfolio, what are you most proud of in you career?  

Meeting close friends that are driven like me. My best friend is Justin Price who I would have never met if it wasn’t for modelling. Aaron Riveroll is also a good friend of mine. I’ve met so many good people. My favorite model is Rali Ivanova <3 that chick! What I’m most proud of is proving everyone wrong that didn’t believe in me. I’ve sacrificed many relationships because of my career. It doesn’t hurt that I’ve been featured in Maxim, Muscle Mag, American Curves, Ultimate MMA, Oxygen pretty every big named magazine I’ve been in. I was recently featured on FHM’s website with big names like Rhianna, Kate Upton & Sofia Vergara.

You also have acting experience having appeared on MTC, Speed, Fox, as well as a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial, and a Maury Povich Episode. What was it like to be on Maury?  

Maury was fun lol! It was a secret crush episode so no drama! I brought my crush on there and it turned into a relationship afterwards. They liked us so much they brought us back to the show for an update episode. We split up back in February and now I’m just enjoying the single life.

If you had to pick between modeling and acting, what would you choose?

Modeling. I don’t have a lot of experience with acting and I’m really not that good.  Yet…  : )

While a lot of the models we feature, are only models, you own a web and graphic design firm specializing in photo and video editing. Can you tell us more about your business?  

I still own Exceptional Web Solutions but for the past couple of years it’s been on the back-burner.  I just don’t have the time for it.  I refer everyone to Mixed Creative.  Dan Gawlick is amazing!!!

You are a spokes model for Flying Pasties, a company dedicated to protecting privacy during airport screenings. Can you tell us moreabout that and how you got involved with it?  

Fiu Fiu Swimwear is also owned by Flying Pasties.  I was out in Vegas shooting with Dave Alan for Fiu Fiu Swimwear and was asked if I wanted to pose for Flying Pasties.  I did so well and even afterwards started marketing as much as I could for them so they agreed to make me their official spokesmodel. We’ve been featured all over the place such as Tru TV, The Wendy Williams Show, all over the news and in Playboy.  As a frequent traveler I use the product all the time.  Flying Pasties are rubber pasties you insert in your undergarments so when going through the body scanners at the airport nothing is shown.  They have been passed by the TSA.  It’s an amazing idea and a great product.  I don’t travel without it.  Check them out at: www.flyingpasties.com

You sold us! Have you ever considered doing Playboy?  

I’ve been approached a few times and some of my friends are Playboy Photographers.  With wanting to get into acting my agents told me not to do it.  I’m a risk taker but I’m scared it would ruin my image.  Plus I don’t know where life will take me and don’t want pictures like that of myself just out there like that.

On your website you describe yourself as a computer geek trapped in a hot body. What kind of computer/video games do you like?  

I used to be big into video games but now I just don’t have the time.  I love any thing bloody and gory packed with action. I don’t think anything could ever beat Manhunt.  It’s an older game that came out on Xbox and it keeps you on the edge of your seat.  It was so twisted that they took it off of the market in the States. But other than that any type of shooting game.

You also mentioned you like shooting ‘big guns’ with the boys. What types of guns are your favourite are why?  

I love the R700!!!  It’s big and powerful and fun to shoot.  I love rifles!  I go with my uncle to shoot with his army buddies.  Last time I went I was the only one to shoot a bulls-eye!  LOL!

As an avid thrill seeker, you shoot guns, skydived and waterski. Is there anything you want to do you haven’t yet?  

I want to go zip lining I’ve never been.  I’m going to do it on my next Costa Rica trip.  I thought about diving but I’m not a great swimmer so that’s one thing I’m scared of.  I don’t think I’d have the guts to do it. But you never know =)

If you wrote an autobiography, what would you name it?  

“Life’s a Trip”

If you pushed play on your iPod, what would we most likely hear?  

I don’t have an iPod but I do have the iPhone.  Believe it or not I have absolutely no music on it.  It’s filled with so many pictures and videos.  I normally listen on my Sirius app or Pandora.  I’m on a house kick lately.  Last month was hip-hop.  I love Rick Ross.  I’m all over the map when it comes to music.  I love it!  I’m also into 90′s alternative like Nirvana.  I love them!

What types of guys are you generally attracted too?  

Down to earth, spontaneous, strong willed, ambitious, goal oriented, driven and most importantly funny.  I always am looking for a good laugh!

What turns you on?  

Chocolate, champagne & bubble baths.

What turns you off?  

Insecurity, jealousy, bad hygiene and bad table manners are the worst.

Where’s the craziest place you’ve hooked up with someone?  

At the airport in a car.  People were walking all around outside but nobody could see in because the windows were so fogged up lol!

Are you quiet or loud?  

I’ll get a noise complaint from the neighbors, that’s for sure =)

Anyone who would complain about you in that regard… is gat-damn foolish! Do you have any tattoos or piercings? If so, how many and where?  

I have a tramp stamp that I got before they were popular. I have the inside of my lip done, one on my ankle, 2 finger tattoos, a small one on my hip that gets covered for all photo shoots.  And a small one on my wrist.  As far as piercings I have my belly button, 8 in my ears (I only wear 2 of them), and a few hidden piercings =).  I used to have 2 in my tongue and a surface piercing in my wrist but took them out.

What is your dream photo shoot?  

I’d love to shoot in Bora Bora.  I’ve always wanted to go.

Show Magazine, Black Mens, and more international FHM’s & Maxims.
