Interview with Caitlin Hixx

Who are you and how’d you get into modeling?

I’m a glamour and fitness model residing in Houston, Tx. I have had the pleasure of being published in several magazines this year and am looking forward to a few more hopefully.

What is your ethnicity/background?

I was adopted as a baby by two of the most wonderful people in the world. With that being said, I’m not 100% sure what I am. People try to make educated guesses all the time, but in all reality, who really knows.

You have a huge modelling portfolio, what would you say your biggest accomplishment in your career has been?

Wow, there are so many things. I think my biggest accomplishment would have to be something more personal than an actual “thing”. I think my  biggest accomplishment is not being afraid in front of the camera, or trying new things, or even dabbling in a little acting work. I have been very lucky to do the things I have done in such a short period of time and still doing everything on my own terms. Most models at this stage are agency represented, but I am still not by choice. And to me, that speaks volumes, that I have the eager, the want, the discipline to make things happen in my career. I’m not saying I won’t ever be agency represented, but it is a great deal of gratitude to have been published as many times as I have all on my own.

Who has been your biggest influence in modeling?

That is a tough one. But, I believe I am my biggest influence. I don’t model for my parents, my fiance, or anyone else. I model for myself. There are so many beautiful models out there that I could easily say, “oh I want to be just like her”. But you can’t. There is already one “her”. You have to be your own person. Your own look.

Would you ever pose in Playboy if they came calling?

I have had a few casting opportunities in the past with the company but I have politely declined. I’m not saying no, never. Just, not right now.  There are a few other avenues I would like to do before or if ever possibly doing something with Playboy. Playboy is a wonderful company to work with and they really take the girls under the wings so to speak. Any girl would be lucky to work or have a chance to work with this prestigious company. It is something I am open to within time.

What is the last thing that made you laugh out loud?

Well, just last night I was walking in to a very chic local Houston hotel, to find a live duck quacking and flopping around in their indoor fountain. It was something that made me take a double and triple look, as did the rest of the guests that evening. It was so funny.

Do you like to party?

Yes and no. I am more of a homebody at heart, but I do like to go out let my hair down and just dance!

What’s your favorite drink?

At the moment, my favorite is pinapple vodka with sprite and chunks of fresh pineapple in it. A friend of mine got my hooked on it this summer. So refreshing and light.

What makes you angry?

Just rude people in general. There is no need to be rude. There are so many other actions someone can do to displace their rudeness. A simple “excuse me” is a much more pleasant approach to things.

If you have three wishes, what would you wish for?

1. For my career to be plentiful and long lasting
2. For my family to all live a healthy and long life
3. For people to just get along, so sick of the drama with some people

What turns you on?

Someone who is funny, cute, and sweet. And also likes to take initiative.

What turns you off?

Rudeness and cockiness.

What is your dream date?

Honestly, my dream date is cooking a nice romantic Italian dinner- I love Italian food. and watching a good movie.

Your body is 100% natural, correct?

Yes it is! I pride myself in that. So many models and just young women in general are all going under the knife or even doing injections. I’m totally into being myself, and I get a lot of praise from clients about that. I’m not saying there are not several things I would love to change, but who wouldn’t. But those differences help set me apart from everyone else.

What do you like most about your body?

I think it would be my booty and my tummy. I work very hard on those too, and I’m happy with the results.

You have questionably the best body in the world. How much work do you put in to keeping a 34-23-35 figure?

I don’t go crazy with it or anything. I do work out 4-5 times a week for about an hour each day. I also eat a healthy diet, but if I’m craving something I’m not, not going to have it. I love to eat. I’m a total foodie at heart. But, I’m trying to master the art of healthy cooking and starting to work on a cook book as well with a dear friend of mine.

hmm….both!

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I see myself still modeling, but on a larger scale and doing more acting.

What do you like most about Lions Den U?

This website is full of great humor and great way to break up the monotony of your day with something a little more light hearted than work or studying for an exam. Plus, all the hot models are always a plus!
