For this edition of our Monday Morning Mistress series, we’ve been fortunate enough to interview another Argonaut’s cheerleader, Tearrah, who has been with the team for a year. When she’s not cheering, she is focusing on her career in interior decorating, baking delicious treats and devoting her free time to her friends and family.

Who are you?

My name is Tearrah, I am Canadian (Native Indian) Spanish and Jamaican, and I currently live in Brampton.

Which 5 words best describe you?

The 5 words that best describe me would be: Independent, outgoing, passionate, loving and positive.

What did you study in school? 

I studied interior decorating. I really enjoyed it.

When and how did you start cheering for the Argonauts?

I started cheering for the Argonauts in 2013. My friend was on the team the year before, and I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to join as well.

What do you do outside of Cheering?

Outside of cheering, I work part-time. I also use any extra time to see family and friends.

What is your favorite dance?

I have three favorite styles of dance: tap, contemporary and hip-hop.

What’s the greatest benefit of being an Argonauts Cheerleader?

The greatest benefit of being an Argonauts Cheerleader would have to be having the opportunity to inspire young girls across the city.

What is your signature dish?

My signature dish would have to be pasta and red lobster biscuits!

Finish this sentence: I wish I was better at…

I wish I was better at juggling my time. There never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done.

What was your worst dating experience?

Luckily all the dates I’ve been on have been pretty good or amazing!

What has been your favorite personal accomplishment so far?

My favorite personal accomplishment would have to be being able to provide and fend for myself at such a young age.

If I gave you a blank cheque for a shopping spree, where would you go and what would you buy?

If I was given a blank cheque for a shopping spree I would go to all of my favorite stores and buy clothes, hand bags and jewelry.


Who is your celebrity crush?

My celebrity crush is Chris Brown.

Who inspires you?

My family and friends inspire me.

What was the last thing you laughed out loud at?

The last thing I laughed out loud at was a meme on Instagram.

What would the title of your autobiography be?

The title of my autobiography would be “With Every Step.” I think it would be a good title to tell my story, as well as incorporate one of my interests, which is dance.

What do you have planned for the future?

For the future I plan to open my own business in design and event planning.
