I am absolutely in LOVE with cherries, but I only buy them in season, as they are too expensive otherwise. There’s a cherry farm in the Niagara region, and I’m dragging my family on a picking trip while my husband’s on vacation. That way, I can make bottles and bottles of the delicious cherry vinaigrette I came up with for this salad.

Roasted grapes are really trendy in the culinary world right now, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I started thinking of what they’d pair well with, and figured the flavour would be too heavy for chicken and too light for beef. So, what other conclusion could I come to, other than the fact that pork would be perfect?
I have to admit, when I make a homemade pizza, I cheat. I use store bought crust. I’ve managed to make myself feel a bit better by purchasing whole wheat naan. They’re so thin, I figure they don’t count as a carb ; )

Though I take pride in making healthy whole food meals for my family, I still love the taste of decadence. Potato salad is an indulgence, often loaded with mayonnaise and lacking nutritional value. My take on a BBQ favourite is not only decadent, it’s loaded with protein, made with clean ingredients, and it’s filling enough to be eaten as a meal instead of a side dish.
I love making burgers, and I am always looking for new ideas. I’m a master at black bean, beef and ground turkey, so I decided to try ground chicken. Boy am I glad I did, because the recipe I created is to die for! I just made them on Friday night, and I already want to make them again.
