This class we are going to be discussing multiple things from the textbook. Re-read some of the sections you discussed later to make sure you understand all of it. Do you ever crave chocolate and potato chips? Everyone craves something now and then and you should listen to those cravings. Why? Because your body is telling you it needs something.

What are you craving?

Bread

What your body is needing: Nitrogen

What to eat: High protein foods like, fish, meat, nuts, and beans

Sweets

What your body is needing: Chromium, Sulfur, Tryptophan, Carbon Phosphorus

What you to eat: grapes, sweet potato, cheese, cranberries, lean meats, cabbage, kale, spinach, and broccoli

Fatty Snacks

What your body is needing: Calcium

What to eat: mustard and turnip greens, cheese, legumes, broccoli

Salty Foods

What your body is needing: Chloride

What to eat: raw milk such a goat, fish, shrimp, foods with light sea salt

Soda

What your body is needing: Calcium

What to eat: mustard and turnip greens, cheese, legumes, broccoli

Next time you start craving something bad, think of this and try one of these easy alternates.
