5 Sites Like Ninja Video [RIP NinjaVideo.net]

The interweb is still in an uproar over the seizure and shut down of Ninja Video’s domain last week (click for details) and the laws of supply and demand dictate that a new website must be found to fill the void and satiate our gen-Y need for constant streaming media. Now while I’m an avid supporter of Justin.tv, it’s actually not really like Ninja Video at all, in that the user doesn’t control EXACTLY what they’re watching and when they’re watching it, however it’s great for streaming genres and select TV shows. Requests have come in for more NinjaVideo-like alternatives, and here at the Lion’s Den U we aim to please…and infuriate. You’ve asked for it, and now you’ve got it: 5 Sites Like Ninja Video.
I’ve spoken to a number of interweb officianados and the verdict is in: IceFilms.info is really the ONLY website that even compares to Ninja Video! It’s got multiple video types, including DivX adn MegaVideo, and gives you a download option in case you’d like to watch off-line later.
You will have to first install Grease Monkey for Firefox and then run a special Ice Films Script, but after that it’s all smooth sailing and streaming awesomeness.
One of my personal favourites, hence the number 2 spot, because it is by far the MOST organized of all the 3rd party hosting websites. Sidereel collates shows and schedules with a VERY user friendly interface, and offers multiple links to your favourite shows as well as original articles and polls about characters, plots, and current events in entertainment. The scheduling feature also lets you know if your show is new that week or not, which will save you hunting for a new episode that doesn’t exist. Also there are no additional downloads necessary!
Surf the Channel is good but not great, ok but not awesome. It’s similar to Sidereel, but not nearly as organized and with much fewer alternate links. If there is something obsur however that you can`t find on Sidereel (the tend to only have more current content) then Surf the Channel might have what you need.
Quality videos with fast load speeds, TV Shack is a legit option when it comes to current media, but once again has a lot of broken links with older content. t
I’ll end off with the website that got it all started for me back in the day, and that’s Online Video Guide. These guys are 4th party hosts as the link to the sites that link to the videos, which puts them a few steps away from the content, but it sometimes saving you from searching one site at a time if you’re looking something fast.
Notable mention: GO FUCK YOURSELF HULU! GET OUT OF MY WEBSPACE YOU AMERICANMADE PRICKS!

Mr Lion.
Great article, but missing the No1 option, (though im Biased), http://re1ease.net
As well as re1ease, from the list above Highly recommend our affiliates Ice Films.
Thanks Mr Re1ease
oh puh-lease! re1ease is utterly god-awful. notice how they constantly have to try and spam everyone on twitter to get people to go to their shit site. they only have members right now because of ninja’s downfall, serving as pathetic little vultures fighting for scraps of meat after an accident.
as soon as ninja returns (more than likely under a new guise) they will see those folks get the hell out of there as quick as they came in!
stick with Ice, Sidereel, and TV Shack.
Hello 4TF, thanks for “kind” comments. No denying we are rising to the demise of NV, nor that we try and get our site out to those in need.
Taking time to get a NV (under new guise) set up, seriously happy to help w/ code. You have my twitter.
Highly recommend Ice Films, Watchseries-online, TVDome, MegaRelease and Re1ease.net

Just to let you know…I went to check out the Ice Films site and received a threat assessment warning from my anti-virus, an ActiveX exploit…accessed file is infected. I did not write down the exact name of the threat as I just wanted to get the hell out of there.
I’m not getting involved in streaming politics until someone pays me to do so, but I use Sidereel.com for megavideo and zshare links. The divx stuff is great but not always reliable. I’m not huge on re1ease, but I’ve checked it out and it seems legit, however I’ve also received RAVE reviews about Icefilms, which is why we looked into it in more detail. Marina, if you are indeed an actual human being, and not a re1ease affiliate I’ll have someone look into that issue further, otherwise your comment will be deleted. Email me at nathan@lionsdenu.com
I just looked into the icefilms activex thing and it’s got to be a false positive. I looked it over with a couple of AV clients and there’s nothing to be concerned about.
Thanks Kerrtis. Must be my AVG, I received the same warning on TV Shack last night.
Regards,
Marina
Casttv.com has megavideo for some of the older shows and Z-share for the most current shows. Whenever there’s an update, it’s marked in green.

Hi
On behalf of Icefilms i’d like to thank you for the #1 spot.
We try and be a comprehensive database of links, with a variety of genres and styles .
I’d like to extend an invitation to all those who haven’t visited icefilms.info yet and if you guys ever have any problems setting up the script , please come to the chatbox and ask for help, we’re always happy to welcome a new member .
The activeX problem is strange though. Shouldn’t happen .

You’re welcome for the free traffic! How about setting us up with something for our efforts. nathan@lionsdenu.com. I’m sure you’ll think of something
blinkx tv and movies.. they have it all.
Nathan, you talked about Marina being a Re1ease Affiliate?
Newsflash .. Icefilms is a Re1ease Affiliate o_0 and actually they are friends of Re1ease, so NO we are not trying to down IceFilms here
We are completely content with people visiting our site, and if they do not find what they need IceFilms is the first place we recommend, along with Watch Series Online, and MUCH of our content links come from IceFilms.
Sincerely,
MovieGuru – Re1ease.Net Admin
…thanks for clearing that up? *rolls eyes*

thx man, and yup r.i.p.
Another good site to add to the list is http://www.seeimdb.com, lots of links collected from all over the internet and direct access to streaming movies from IMDb by typing “see” in front of the IMDb.com movie page URL.
This essay will sign, seal and deliver this concept to you although use that wisely.
