Believe it or not, it’s that time of year again, when the winter time weather makes everything miserably cold and often too cold to workout outdoors. It may be a bummer if you love to run or bike outside, but instead of allowing the winter cold to put a damper on your workout, bring your workout indoors!
There are many accessories that can help motivate you to workout consistently indoors, especially if you don’t have a gym membership. Here are a few you should think about getting soon.
1 – Stock Up On Workout DVDs
If you don’t own any workout DVDs, the first thing you should do is find out if a trainer from a program you are interested in offers a training program online or easily watch it via Netflix on your television or purchase the DVDs that many trainers offer. Jillian Michaels, the Tone It Up girls, or Tracy Anderson may be a few of your favorites. All of these trainers offer workout DVDs that will keep you motivated to keep burning those calories throughout winter. Grab a favorite pair of Reef sandals and Yoga mat, and practice your favorite Piloxing workout indoors in the comfort of your own home.
2 – Sandals For Yoga And Pilates
If working out indoors at your home tends to get you down sometimes, why not try a Yoga and Pilates class? Both will get you out of your home and help you to be social without getting cold. Since you’ll most likely be going to a studio you’ll need a pair of durable sandals. Look for comfortable sandals that have plenty of arch support. You won’t have your sandals on during practice, but before and afterwards you’ll need plenty of support for your feet.
Your sandals will provide a pleasant retreat for tired out feet.
3 – A Bike Trainer
A bike trainer is the perfect exercise option if you live in a very cold climate. If you miss biking outdoors, train indoors any day of the week without having to worry about freezing. Trainers can be expensive, so save up now or look for a used one on Craigslist or a similar site.
Once you own your bike trainer, put on some motivational music in the background or watch a favorite television show, while you’re exercising away. Exercise should never be sacrificed, especially during the winter!
